Seeking energetic Teaching and Learning Support Assistants

Thorpe CofE Primary School is looking for enthusiastic and energetic support staff to join our friendly team. Our teaching support team work term time only and working hours fit in around the school day.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Following the instructions of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Planning and prioritising tasks
  • Clarifying and explaining instructions to pupils
  • Communicating effectively with pupils
  • Motivating pupils to learn
  • Organising the learning environment

Key Accountabilities will be:

  • Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities
  • Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on the planning and assessment of pupil’s work
  • Organising and maintaining the learning environment
  • Working as part of a team
  • Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace
  • Understanding and applying school policies

Support staff may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacher.

Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be a practising Christian.

Thorpe Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A full enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
