The school will be closed for 5 training days per academic year (INSET Days).

Summer Term 2026 ends on Wednesday 22nd July at 1.15pm
Inset day is Friday 26th June 2026 - school closed for training

Tuesday 1st September 2026 (Children start back on Wednesday 2nd September)
Friday 28th May 2027 (Changed from June date)
Monday 26th July 2027
Tuesday 27th July 2027
Wednesday 28th July 2027 Therefore last day of Summer Term 2027 is Friday 23rd July 27
Please note there is now a 2 week half term in the Autumn Term in 2026. The school year was extended by Surrey, however, at Thorpe we will take 3 inset days and finish on Friday 23rd July.
There is no inset day in January or June 2027.
