We are very proud of the learning and teaching that happens in our school. We have always been an inclusive school, working hard to ensure that all children get the right provision.
There are many measures for how children progress at Thorpe; we celebrate when children show each other respect, kindness and honesty. We ask that they trust each other and themselves. We enable children to develop resilience and take responsibility for their actions. Any poor behaviour is tackled swiftly and we work in partnership with parents, specialist teachers as well as the local authority and governors to ensure that poor behaviour does not impact on children's learning.
Any area of development arising from the analysis of our data (below), is a focus for our school development plan. We encourage and support staff with their continuing professional development, which is matched to our development priorities, to ensure children have access to high quality learning and teaching.
